IVECO BUS E-WAY H2 crowned Best Hydrogen Vehicle at the Neutral Transport Innovation Awards in Spain for its performance and innovation

The E-WAY H2 has won the title of Best Hydrogen Vehicle at the third edition of the "Neutral Transport Innovation Awards" in Spain.

The public, casting more than 150 votes, played a decisive role in the selection of the E-WAY H2, which was praised for its performance and innovation 

This award joins the "International Sustainability Award 2024", given to the E-WAY H2 by the German magazine Busplaner.

The IVECO BUS E-WAY H2 has been awarded the Best Hydrogen Vehicle title at the "Neutral Transport Innovation Awards", organised by the Iberian Sustainable Transport Association GASNAM. 

The E-WAY H2 was overwhelmingly voted for by the public and praised for its performance and innovation.

The winners of the third edition of the "Neutral Transport Innovation Awards" were announced last night at the awards ceremony held at the RIU Plaza de España hotel during the Green Gas Mobility 2024 Summit.

Performant mid-power concept

The E-WAY H2, developed by IVECO BUS, is a unique mid-power concept to deliver energy and power and achieve the highest efficiency in terms of range and passenger capacity. The E-WAY H2 is benefiting from a Hyundai fuel cell, powered by 4 hydrogen tanks. It is also equipped with a 69 kWh FPT Industrial NMC battery and a 310 kW SIEMENS ELFA 3 electric motor. To optimize the hydrogen power split strategy and deliver the best performance, E-WAY H2 features an electric vehicle control platform (eVeCoP) with software entirely developed in-house. The vehicle’s range is estimated at

450 kilometres under normal operation conditions.

High level of personalization for the best passenger experience

The E-WAY H2 is available in a standard 12 m length and offers a modern and attractive design, with an aerodynamic fairing and the addition of hubcaps on request for a perfect integration into the urban environment. It can accommodate up to 110 passengers according to local regulations.  A CO₂ heat pump and an optimized airflow distribution system ensure excellent thermal comfort on board.

The different interior design choices, along with the wide range of materials, seat types, equipment and options, help create the best conditions for the well-being and comfort of passengers.
